ENGINE WOES ELIMINATE GAYLORDS HOPE OF RACING AT PIR

It was expected that Scott Gaylord would be piloting the No. 67 SMS Ford for the Albertsons/Osco 125 event at Phoenix International Raceway. The team came to PIR with high hopes of making a good show, but as Gaylord said, “Engine problems came up early and the after qualifying the engine starting losing more power and tightening up”. Over 60 cars attempted to make the NASCAR Southwest Touring Series race, unfortunately Gaylord was one of about 20 that did not make the grid.

Watch for Gaylord to be racing another form of stock car racing when he once again pilots the Oliver Gravity Separators Monte Carlo for the final race of the NASCAR Winston West Series. The event will be held at Irwindale Speedway and is scheduled to run 300 laps on the 1/2 mile oval.
